Courtney Zhì-Xián Loo is a writer-director and entrepreneur.

Her short films include Slick Talk, which premiered at SXSW 2023, and Post Office, which premiered at Slamdance 2021 and was named a Vimeo Staff Pick. Both narrative films draw on her personal experiences as a Chinese-American woman and examine themes of identity, language and female objectification. She was selected for Sundance Institute’s Feature Film Program as a 2024 Sundance Screenwriting Fellow and was a 2023 Almanack Screenwriting Fellow. She is currently developing her debut feature film, Bangbang Teahouse.

As a commercial director, Loo has collaborated with renowned talent such as Kehlani, Allyson Felix, 6lack and Tori Kelly, and has directed commercials for brands such as Honda and Athletic Greens.
